Inquiry: Luke Mandala (Desert Hearts) + Brad Moontribe
Inquiry is proud to be back at Monarch after February's sold out show with Rinzen, this time with West Coast legends Luke Mandala (Desert Hearts / Desert Trax) and Brad Moontribe.
These veteran DJs have both been DJing for over 20 years; from underground full moon gatherings to bigger festivals, they've done it all. They'll be joined by Inquiry residents Griffin Paisley and Sam Drank for yet another glorious night of techno.
~Be sure to save a high five for our own Griffin Paisley making his SF Debut~

Luke Mandala's deep passion with music was ignited at the age 14 with the open minded underground electronic scenes of 1998 - and that was the year he started to DJ. In 2007 Luke started releasing his own music and now has hundreds of songs released with a large number of the biggest labels in the world - Traum, Selador, Desert Hearts, Tulipa, Desert Trax, Merkaba Music, Addictech, Books Shade Music.
With Luke’s dynamic performances, depending on the crowd, you may encounter an eclectic mix of global sounds from the genres of techno/house, downtempo dance music, and chill out. The music is intentionally part of the massive movement of mind opening dance floors transforming the planet, and it has flown Luke to many continents around the planet to play music. It speaks to the heart and flows through intense emotive movements, flying through the cosmos or the deepest primal caves with a focus on play, inspiration, and unification.
Having previously played at our desert gathering, Curiosity, in 2017, Brad Moontribe is no newcomer to Inquiry.
Brad was born a music lover. By high school he was DJing backyard parties in Long Beach and had already become addicted to the latest 12" vinyl releases. His love and passion for cutting edge electronic music has not abated since that time.
Now a veteran of the West Coast rave community since 1992, Brad continues to perform regularly in the U.S. and Canada. His interest in the environment, yoga, and his philosophical nature are conveyed in his musical choices. He can energize any crowd with his seamless mixing, whether in a warehouse, intimate club, or out in the open desert. Brad defies classification by experimenting with a variety of musical genres, often cutting between techno, minimal, tribal, progressive, acid house, and breaks. He blends many intricate soundscapes to create the flow and funkiness that is essential Brad. His eclectic mixes take the listener on a musical journey where time and space seem to disappear. Using the language of music to unite and celebrate the earth and humanity is Brad's goal. Brad has been a resident DJ with Southern California's legendary Moontribe Collective since 1996.
*Fun Fact - Griffin & Brad have a collaborative project in the works, stay tuned.
