Erykah Badu - https://soundcloud.com/erykah-she-ill-badu
Erykah Badu, best known for her eccentric style and cerebral music, is a Grammy- award winning American soul singer and songwriter. Regarded as the Queen of Neo Soul, Badu’s sound -- a concoction of soul, hip-hop and jazz -- cannot be contained to a single genre. Self-described as a “mother first”, Badu is a touring artist, dj, teacher, community activist, holistic healer, vegan, recycler, and conscious spirit. Baduizm, Badu's highly acclaimed debut album, was released in early 1997 went triple platinum and, along with "On & On," won Grammy Awards at the 1998 ceremony. This spring, Badu released her fifth studio album, and second installment of a two-part New Amerykah series. New Amerykah, Part 1: Fourth World War, a concept album that was digitally produced and political in tone, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and Rolling Stone named it one of the year’s best albums. New Amerykah, Part II: Return of the Ahnk, which features lush live instrumentation and taps into Badu’s emotional side by thematically focusing on romance and relationships, made its debut at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Moodymann - https://soundcloud.com/mahoganimusic
Kenny Dixon, Jr.'s outspoken views on underground dance music and an early aversion to publicity put him in a league occupied by few Detroit producers other than Underground Resistance supremo "Mad" Mike Banks.
Despite the low-key manner in which Dixon has released most of his material -- ideally suited as work credited to Moodymann, as it swings from raw and mechanical to refined and elegant -- he gradually became as valued a producer as Banks or any other Motor City dance music figure post-Cybotron.
Benji B - https://soundcloud.com/benji-b

Benji has also been running his club night Deviation in London, now in it's eighth year he continues to curate a unique mix of upcoming talent alongside esteemed guests each month. J Rocc - https://soundcloud.com/rappcats/thank-you-jay-dee-act-1
One of the original turntablists, J. Rocc founded the Beat Junkies in 1992 with Melo-D and Rhettmatic, but has done just as much on his own as in a group setting. He began DJing in the mid-'80s with a California group named PSK. Soon after forming, the Beat Junkies became a seminal force in the rise of instrumental hip-hop, including core member Babu plus future stars Shortkut and D-Styles.
