About Oscar P
Oscar P was raised in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and Manhattan’s Washington Heights. His roots in the city run deep. Fusing Afro-Latino and deep house influences from NYC, Chicago and Detroit, Oscar has created a unique sound that defines his style today. Oscar P operates two of the most respected underground house labels, Kolour Recordings and Open Bar Music. As a producer, he’s appeared on labels like Strictly Rhythm, Tool Room, Ultra & Sony Music and his resume includes remixes for Mark Farina, KiNK, Soul Minority, Jamiroquai, Adele, Omar, Todd Terry and Physics. With more than 30 releases cracking the top ten in the last three years, a who's who of music industry pioneers have supported his productions. In 2012 Oscar was named the #8 best selling house music artist of the year on Traxsource. In 2014, 2015 and 2016 he sat on the Best Selling Afro House Artists list at #23, #13, and #16 respectively, alongside Black Coffee, Osunlade, Atjazz, Manoo, Jose Marquez and Boddhi Satva. Recently relocated from New York to San Diego, California, he now co-produces the West Coast Weekender. A three-day music conference that celebrates regional house music, and provides a new boost for the California music scene.
About Cris Herrera
Born in Acapulco (Mexico) Cris Herrera moved to the U.S at the age of 12. His grandfather, a life long Saxophone player introduced him to music at a very early age and while integrating him self into society in Southern California he was heavily influenced by the LA underground house & Hip -Hop movements of the mid nineties. Over the past 16 years Cris has been a driving force in the San Diego & West Coast music community. He has been instrumental in bringing world-renowned artists such as Carl Craig, Kaskade, Danny Tenaglia, Doc Martin, DJ Harvey and The Martinez Brothers to San Diego. As a producer his work can be found on Berlin's Get Physical Music, Spain's Isgud Records, and Detroit's own Kolour Recordings. Cris is also co-founder of Souleil Sundays, West Coast Weekender, Art of Sound and Soul On Beat where past guests include: Francois K, LTJ Bukem, Danny Krivit, DJ Sneak, Mark Farina, Miguel Migs, Shur -I Kan, Cassy and Fred Everything.
